Fabric weight, printing and stitching: what to specify
Non-woven is a fabric construction, not a load rating. A useful specification combines the fabric weight with the finished bag size, handle attachment and seams. Compare the choices below before requesting a custom printed non woven bag.
80, 90 or 100 gsm
Gsm means grams per square metre. 80 gsm is a common shopping-bag reference, 90 gsm is a heavier option, and the Culture Homes customer order uses 100 gsm. Higher gsm means more fabric mass per unit area; it does not by itself guarantee a particular thickness or carrying load.
Simple logos or gradient artwork
A solid-colour logo and a shaded or photographic design require different print planning. Share the original artwork, print dimensions and fabric colour. We assess the suitable process and proof; do not assume a standard one-colour print can reproduce a smooth gradient.
Stitched handles and bag openings
X-stitch reinforcement spreads stress around a handle attachment. A folded, stitched opening and appropriate seam allowance also matter. The Lam Kee Seafood order shows these details; sample checks should use the actual contents and expected handling.
